Tahmilah Rast:
Four Oud: Bass, Baritone, Tenor and Soprano.
In this work, each of the Ouds has a part in which it is heard improvising in a dialogue with the others. So, easy to listen to the sound of each Oud in solo, and amongst the ensemble.

Tahmilah is a simple and complex form of the Classical Modal Arab Music. It contains simple melodies that go in progression. This progression is filled with improvisations from each instruments. The improvisation is based on question and answer. A dialogue between the solo instrument and the rest of the ensemble.
Thanks to the modern technology, it was easy to record four parts in separate tracks for four instruments. The challenge was, how to improvise on each instrument in a different style, how to be different from yourself, so the listener is not bored.

تحميلة راست: على أربعة أعواد: الأرض و القرار و الوسط و الجواب.
فيها تقسيمٌ بمنطق السؤال والجواب بكلّ عودٍ من تلك الأعواد. فيسهل للسامع التعرّف على طبيعة صوت كلّ عودٍ على حدةٍ، كذلك مشتركاً مع باقي مجموعة الأعواد.
التحميلة شكلٌ من أبسط وأعقد أشكال موسيقى المقام الناطقة بالعربيّة.
فهي مجموعة ألحانٍ بسيطةٍ تصاعديّة التركيب، يتخلّلها ارتجالاتٌ تتوافق مع تصاعد الألحان. أغلب تلك الارتجالات بمنطق السؤال والجواب في حوارٍ بين الآلة المنفردة والمجموعة.
فأن يكون هذا من شخصٍ واحدٍ، ففضل هذا يرجع لتقنيات العصر الحديث، بحيث تركّب الأصوات فوق بعضها. وصعوبته أن يحاول الشخص أخذ مسافةٍ بين أسلوبه في آلةٍ وآلةٍ أُخرى فيحدث التنوّع ولا يُصاب السامع بالملل.
